    My Baby's all Grown Up!

And isn't she beautiful? I'm quite the proud papa, but I hope I can upgrade her stats a bit more before she goes into "retirement" as it were. At that time, I plan to breed her with a studly young chocomale and raise a brand new baby!

    Better News!
BigCoq is 100% healthy again and a little bundle of feathery, happy energy again. I took her on two walks and watched over her. I also fed her a veggie paste and a gyshal green which filled her up completely.

I'm waiting to harvest either Tokko grass or some higher version greens than the gyshal. We'll see what happens. I've a niggling suspicion my Mog hasn't been using water to water my plants, and I doubt that's doing much to help their health.

    Terrible News!
Not only is my chocobo crying all night because she misses me, but BigCoq has also come down with some sort of an illness! I fed her a medicinal grass, but it didn't seem to do anything for her health! Unfortunately, this is wreaking havoc on my wallet, as I've now spent 2/3 of my savings on the girl trying to get her better. I'll give her another of those wildgrasses tonight and hope that helps.

I'm also attempting to grow some grasses to feed her in the future so I won't have to worry so much about affording the best in care should she take ill again.

She did make friends with another chocobo named Blood recently. I do hope he wasn't the one who gave her this cold!

    Updates! Chocobos and Such!
Oh my, I've really neglected this, haven't I? Well, I've also been neglecting my adventuring, so it's to be expected, I suppose!

I've been spending most of my time reading up on chocobo husbandry as it's now been legalized to raise and care for your own chocobo. We still have to register and keep our chocobos in an officially recognized stable, but it's for the welfare of the animals, so I understand.

I'm very proud to announce that my BigCoq was born on Lightningsday 1/6/1004! Ah she's a cutie! She gets excited everytime I check on her. I took her for two brief walks, but they're tiring for such a young chick, so I let her snuggle back down in the hay to rest. She's come quite a long way from being an egg that was just a bit warm. Such a cutie!

She likes her name. Perhaps her personality is like mine. I don't know if I'm proud or worried.

    Summoner Quest
Well, I've completed this quest and am now able to summon Carbuncle! I must say, though, this is probably the gayest quest ever. It could only have been more gay if it had been like those two rangers in that movie Meriphataud Mountains. You know the one. It has that "I wish I could disengage you!" line.

Anyway, let me tell you why I really question the heterosexuality of this quest.

    1. You get a huge ruby. Yes. You start off with jewlery.
    2. Carbuncle is about as froofy and poofy as anything can possibly get.
    3. I have to experience the "rainbow" of colors to unlock Mr. Flufflewuffles.
    4. I saw Carby scampering (yes, not running, scampering) off across the sky and into a RAINBOW.

Now, I may not be the most butch of adventurers, but this really made me stop and think about the direction my life was heading in.

(Also, Carbuncle is a lying whore. He said he was just for me, but I've totally seen him two-timing me with other SMNs already. Let's see how he feels when he sees me cavorting with Fenrir in the future.)

    The time has come
I need to venture back out to Kazham.

    *weeps in sorrow*

I'm not looking forward to this, as it's a bitch of a place to get out of (especially when my Invisible decides not to stick!). But I figure I can leave once I reach level 36 - and can leave via Warp at that time.

Expect me to have a sugar high while gorging myself on ginger cookies. Please forgive all my potentially outlandish behavior during this time period, my dear Link Shell.

But first I shall spend some time helping out Hulk with his mission in San D'Oria. Something about a dragon...similar to the black one I slayed before.

Oh it was a grand battle! I ran in there and...well, okay, I hid behind some rocks, guzzled Yagudo drinks and threw out some cures. I did kick the corpse before it vanished, though!

Anyway, once I hit 36 I can go get some teleport scrolls and make lots and lots of gil setting my home point in Jeuno and teleporting people all about the countryside.

Because, in case I haven't mentioned it, I'm a big fan of gil.

    Whoops
Well, I found this darksteel engraving awhile back and kept forgetting to give it to someone to see what it was all about (and hey, maybe I'd get a reward or some fame or something. I like those sorts of something). I ran out to the North Bastok Outpost and handed the engraving over to a chap there who, well, had a very distant "how long till my shift is over" look in his eyes. Unfortunately he read the engraving (don't know how, looked like chocoboscratch to me...quadavscratch? Something like that.) and said the Quadavs were attacking, well, right then.

    Whoops.

We fought valiantly (well, the others did, I just threw out some cures here and there and drank so many Yagudo drinks that, well, we'll get to that later), but the hordes proved to be too much for us. We survived two waves, but the third finished us off.

Here is the part where I get back to that "get to that later" thing. I -would- have pissed like a Mist Lizard, but as I was KO'ed, well, let's just say I hastily went to my home point to change trousers.

I ran back out to the Outpost and begain to raise people. There was brief discussion of attempting to take on a Notorious Monster somewhere, but I think we decided to wait on that, as we weren't looking forward to the possibilty of yet another knock out. Plus, I needed to check on my vegetables.

    More time with Aros
We ran around the world quite a bit recently! First we went to King Ronparre's Tomb and managed to kill an NM who dropped a Valor Earring which I later put up at auction for 80k in Jeuno. We were hoping for a key to a chest that would drop special gloves, but the only chest we found gave us 600gil.

We ended up trying to hunt Goobbues for tree cuttings, but never got anything from them. We tried an Ochu, but narrowly avoided both death and tentacle rape...I'm not quite sure which would have been worse to experience...I'm gonna go with tentacle rape for this one, though.

After awhile we camped in an area where a notorious monster popped up every time an airship flew overhead. We managed to get some silk from it for a scarf Aros wants to use when he's using Black Mage, and we received many silkworm egg drops. There's someone in Bastok who I hear wants this egg, but it seems that he's too afraid of Airships to speak coherantly at the moment. I may camp that monster again, though, for I hear his silk sells well, and I'm a bit of a gil whore (especially since I'm after all the Seer's gear that I can find!)

    Snapshot Time!
A tarutaru was kind enough to take this photo of me and my patron saint Juggy while I was visiting Windurst on a Rank Quest from Bastok. Aah, but her fur does glint in the evening sun, doesn't it?

    Kindred Spirits
Partying is often a hit or miss. Last evening while standing about the Hidden Beach in the Valkurm Dunes I got an invite to join a party. I was focusing on my BLM stats at the time, and joined up. There were 3 BLM's in the party, so it became a nuking festival! There were so many spells going off at once that I don't think the monsters knew who to target!

I would like to add that scorched Damselfly has a uniquely unsettling odor. I made a point of not standing downwind when we fought those. Also, I would really appreciate NOT having their acid ejaculate sprayed on my face, thanks. Next time I may just use other party members as shields.

However, Aros joined the party soon after I did, and I found him to be quite an enjoyable fellow! We believe there may be some family relation.

A passing party informed us that, due to my flatulence, I must be homosexual. I will take this information into consideration the next time I eat a Mutton Enchilada.
